Hi there! I'm Alyssa - mom to 2 girls (2 & 4) with our 3rd on the way in March! I'm a Colorado girl at heart but currently live in South Texas where my husband coaches college football. I love getting outside (mountains OR beach!) and being active with my kiddos! I drink chocolate almond milk lattes every day and I'm really sick of cooking dinner for toddlers.
I'm mostly a stay at home mom, but I do run a fitness business from home too! I teach Mommy Strong fitness classes in our community as well as a Mini Movers toddler class. I blog at www.iamstronglikemom.com where we share tips for getting active with kids - and I'm hosting our first ever #StrollerStrong Virtual Run in November!
When I'm NOT pregnant, I love to run, but my pregnant body doesn't love it so much. My favorite pregnancy & postnatal workout is definitely walking. It's so good for the mind AND body. I also love to do yoga, and some low impact body weight strength. Erica Ziel has some of my favorite prenatal strength workouts!
My fitness philosophy: Be stubborn about your goals, but flexible about your methods. As a mother, flexibility and creativity is KEY to success. Do what makes you feel good, not what you think you should be doing. Be active, be an example for your kids.
A few interesting facts about me:
You can find me online at www.iamstronglikemom.com or on social media Instagram.com/iamstronglikemom and Facebook.com/iamstronglikemom. I love meeting and collaborating with other strong mamas! Be sure to check out our virtual stroller run - registration will open 9/27!
