My name is Margrét Elín Arnarsdóttir. I’m Icelandic and I live in Iceland with my husband, 2 children (16 years old boy and 9 years old girl) and 2 dogs. We are expecting our 3rd child June 1st :)
I work as an airline pilot, which can be very challenging for the family, especially since my husband is also an airline pilot. We both have a generally very healthy lifestyle, loving any kind of an outdoor activity, and try to be great role models for our kids.
My favorite fit pregnancy workouts right now are CrossFit (very scaled), indoor cycling and hiking. My favorite activity is trail running but I had to give that up around week 21 of this pregnancy when I found that it was taking too much toll on my pelvis. For postpartum workouts I have always started with walking/hiking and then slowly added in weight lifting and then started running again when I got a green light from my doctor, and I plan on doing the same after this pregnancy.
My fitness philosophy is find activities that you love and make you feel good. Always set goals, no matter how small they are.
I have always been very much into sports, and through the years I have competed in handball, gymnastics, Taekwondo as well as street- and trail running, which is ongoing for me :)
My main social media accounts are IG, Snapchat and Facebook, which all have the same handle: maggaelin. I also have a Twitter account with the same handle, but I don’t use it very much.
