We are honored to have some amazing For Two Fitness Fit Mom Ambassadors. Over the next few months, we will be featuring several of these ladies in an “Ambassador Spotlight” post so you can get to know them too!
Today, we want you to meet fit mom ambassador Amy Will!
What is the theme of your blog?
My blog, Life to the Full, is focused on the Bible verse John 10:10 -Living life to the full by honoring God in faith, motherhood, and running.
“The thief comes only to steal, kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” John 10:10
How many kiddos do you have?
My husband and I have one kiddo, our 14-month-old son.
What do you do for a living?
I worked as a graphic designer and left my career last fall to stay at home with our son. After leaving my job out-of-the-home, my family and I moved to a small town where my husband works on a corporate farm and rents 80 acres to farm. Life has changed drastically in the last year, but I love being there for my family and the small-town lifestyle is growing on me!
What is your favorite fit pregnancy or postpartum workout?
Running is my favorite form of exercise and hill-intervals were a key postpartum workout for me. While I was easing back into running after having our son and training for my next marathon that fall, hill intervals were my favorite workout. They were high intensity yet weren’t as stressful on my body.
What is your favorite food?
Breakfast food in general is my favorite, with egg pancakes with fruit being the ultimate!
Do you have any hobbies?
Spending time outdoors with my family is what I enjoy most. When I’m not running, I like to write, design graphics, and read.
Where is your favorite vacation destination?
Estes Park, Colorado. When my husband and I were engaged to be married, we hiked up one of the Twin Sisters peaks together and it was amazing. That was my first “mountain experience” and I would love to go back, though next time we will need to take our son with!
What other interesting facts would you like to share with our readers?
I ran my first half marathon last weekend and it was a blast! I crossed the finish in 1:34:08 and look forward to running another half marathon in the future.
Prior to this race, I had run 6 full marathons and now was the perfect time to try the half because we are trying for Baby #2. We have been trying for the last 7 months and this time of waiting is definitely teaching me patience, persistence in prayer and appreciation for the blessings in our life right now. The half marathon is a great distance for this season in life because I could run/walk if we were pregnant or really push myself if we weren’t!
